Non-waxed general-purpose FRP laminating resin
SHCP 2626 BQTN is suitable for boats, canoes, tanks, pipes and a wide range of composite parts made by hand lay-up or gun spray-up.

- Viscosity: 2.5–3.5 poise at 30°C
- Gel time: 10–18 minutes at 30°C
- Thixotropic index: 1.5–2.5
- Acid value: 20–24 mg KOH/g
- Dark stability below 25°C: 4 months per TDS
- TDS gel data determined with 1% MEKP on 40 g resin
How to use
- Stir before use. At 30°C with 1% MEKP, gel time is 10–18 minutes.
- Low viscosity (2.5–3.5 poise) gives fast wet-out on CSM and woven roving.
- Roll out each layer to remove air before the resin gels.
Choosing the right grade
2626 BQTN is unwaxed: the cured surface stays receptive for the next ply, suited to multi-layer laminates. The outer layer may remain slightly tacky; use a waxed topcoat or waxed resin for the finishing layer when a dry surface is needed.
Storage
Store in the dark below 25°C; stable for 4 months per the TDS. Keep containers closed after opening. Supplied in 225 kg drums.
