Quick-curing general-purpose polyester laminating resin
SHCP 2211N is intended for boats, canoes, tanks, pipes, sanitary products and a broad range of FRP parts made by hand lay-up or gun spray-up.

- Viscosity: 4–6 poise at 30°C
- Gel time: 7–15 minutes at 30°C
- Cure time: 14–25 minutes at 30°C
- Thixotropic index ≥ 2
- Acid value: 20–24 mg KOH/g
- TDS gel data determined with 1% MEKP on 40 g resin
How to use
- Stir before use. At 30°C with 1% MEKP, the resin gels in 7–15 minutes and cures in 14–25 minutes.
- The gel time is short, so mix small batches and work continuously, especially in hot weather.
- Suited to hand lay-up and spray-up for boats, tanks, pipes and sanitary ware.
Choosing the right grade
2211N is waxed and gives a tack-free surface after cure. For staged lamination with long intervals, consider an unwaxed grade such as SHCP 2626 BQTN, or sand the surface before the next ply.
Storage
Store in a cool place away from sunlight and heat sources; keep containers closed after opening. Supplied in 225 kg drums.

The TDS recommends complete mixing of accelerator into the resin before adding catalyst. Never directly mix accelerator and peroxide catalyst. Review the current TDS/SDS and validate the cure system under actual production conditions.
